After the killing of United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson on December 4, 2024, a suspect has been arrested. Luigi Mangione, 26, has been arrested in Blair County, Pennsylvania. He is said to have fit the description of the suspect in the Thompson killing and was found with a 9mm ghost gun, which is a gun that is assembled with separate pieces or a kit.
Mangione’s “manifesto” was published on Ken Kippenstein‘s website and goes into the the reasoning behind the killing.
“Frankly, these parasites had it coming. A reminder: the US has the #1 most expensive healthcare system in the world, yet we rank roughly #42 in life expectancy.”
Mangione goes on to discuss large corporations and United Healthcare and the discrepancy between life expectancy and the growth of these large corporations. Mangione praised Ted Kaczynski, the Unabomber, the domestic terrorist who murdered and injured dozens in a mail bombing campaign in 1995.
